Traditions

The days are getting cooler here in central Pa. and work in the studio is picking up fast. This past weekend Guy taught another feather tree class at one of our local museums. The three hour class was a great success! Everyone enjoyed themselves, worked hard and went home with a 12 inch tree. Last night Guy and I were at St. Georges church here in Mifflinburg where we did a feather tree demonstration. We had a good time and the ladies who attended seemed very interested and asked quite a few questions.A big thank you to both groups! Other news from the studio is Raisin continues to grow. Last vet weigh in she was 65 lbs and just turned 7 months old. Raisin is still not allowed in the studio because she just cannot keep her mouth off of things. Overall she is a good puppy. I am continuing to make belsnickles while Guy is continuing to mold our Christmas line. I have orders to get in the mail this coming week and more to do for the store. The season is coming faster than I would like. Today's work lineup is 96 paper candy cones we designed for a Christmas club...lets see 96 x 10 folds on each one, my hands already hurt!

It Feels Like Fall

Fall is my most favorite time of the year. It could stay Fall year round and I would be just fine with it. Here in central Pa. the leaves are just beginning to change. This seems to be a little late this year. Our weather is cooling , the evenings are starting to have that crispness to them. I am now finished with my Halloween work and I'm trying to get myself into the Christmas mood. This is always a hard task for me because I love Fall and want to hang onto it as long as possible. Every year I envision long drives through the country side and frequent stops at the roadside markets. That never happens...sigh. Saturday October 2nd Guy will be teaching a feather tree class at the Gutelius House Museum here in Mifflinburg! On one last happy note, Raisin is growing fast and doing well!
